Sakura Matsuri

so this saturday I went to Sakura Matsuri in brooklyn. Had lots of fun and met other lolitas. I also saw the naruto cosplayers I always see in all the conventions I've been to. They were quite popular. By the end of the day my feet hurt alot (damn shoes, even though they look good). Anyway it was one the best days ever, hopefully we can go next year.

Yup, just like the title says I completed the sweater! I'm sooo happy! It took me all of yesterday to finish (I hurt my thumb while hand sewing)T_T!
Anyway! I love the colors cause they are very M-chan....ish. LOL. I like the embroidery I chose. It made a huge difference to the sweater. Here are some pics of my creation:

Ok guys here it is! POP Mafia #1 (aka Party Punk). I absolutely love the colors I picked. BTW I'm a photoshop noob so go easy on the critisism. LOL.

I'm am very happy to say that I got my groove back (lol, by that I mean that I have reason to draw again). I'm working on a litle experiment (decorating a black sweater of mine). I'm also working on the first page of my comic "Pop Mafia". Expect to lol, cause it will be very funny. I'll post it here as soon as I'm done. I'm overdosing on caffeine so expect me to be a little.....jumpy. LOL Anyway...here is my Pop Mafia # 1 design title "Party Punk":

It seems that lately I can't help but fall for everyone good looking boy I come across. LOL. But the bad thing about this is that I'm painfully....uh erm.....some would say shallow but I say easily distracted. The thing of it is that I recently met a really nice guy but of course......I feel oddly attracted to him. *sigh* But with him...I'm actually nice.....Oh crap! This is gonna be one the weirdest experiences of my life......but I got some sanity to actually pull this off (I hope). Currently working on more designs.....

This week so far has been crazy if that is the appropiate enough word for it. For one thing I got a load of fricking work, PSAT exam, spirit week and my ongoing constant melancholy over my mundane life. Well at least this week we get to dress up for stuff (a little out of the norm). My cups of coffee help to overcome that awful drowsy feeling I have when I get out of bed. Lately what has really pissed me off is that my grades aren't as good as they should be (exept law class) and I'm working my butt off. Well at least things are starting to improve. I'm not as tired as before and I can draw stuff again. Even my writing is beginning to trive again. Well I gotta rest up for tomorrow! Night. Today, 3 cups of coffee!

Yeah well like the title says, after running the damn mile I was like sore the next day. *sighs* I absolutely hate running, and .........nuns.....but I hate running more......no nuns.... I don't know. Anyway I would like to thank everyone who read the rough draft of my first chapter of my minimanga. I love u guys, and soon I will post the final draft. Just to let u know my fave character has got to be Luke since he is artistic and eccentric.......yet really really good looking at the same time. We'll just have to see how he will win over Lukia. I'm very happy to say that I'm on my way to make a full energy recovery once I get back to school (coffee and all) and I plan to give my extra time this week to my designs (novel, manga, and normal art will have to wait). I was totally inspired when I watched Gojinko (neighbor hood story)by Ai Yazawa this weekend. It shows the creator of Happy Berry and is in a way the prequel of Paradise Kiss. The main character is Mikako who is none other than Miwako's older sis. It's totally cute and the art......to die for. LOL! Anyway here are some pics. Enjoy!

I hate this book (er um.....Lord of the Flies). I dunno why teachers even give us summer assignments. I'm also sad cuz I have to go to school soon.
Well.......on a more interesting note...I decided that for Icon 26 I will cosplay as Sakura on saturday and Miwako on sunday. I'm soooo exited! BTW about my manga. I know I said I was going to post it up but since I have to do this stupid project I had to stop working on it. Anyways I need some coffee! Ciao!

So..........I got my contact lenses and I'm sooo happy about it. They feel fine and it was easy putting them on and taking them off. I just finished righting the script for scene 1 of "Da Muse". I am now working on the comic strip on scene one which I will post up on my next journal update. As of right now I'm happy to be working on one of my projects as opposed to sitting around moping cause my inspiration leaves me. *sobs*. Well that's over now. So excuse me while I get back to work. Ciao!

I was thinking of buying her cosplay costume online but it looked too expensive (even if dad offered). I'm still cosplaying as Sakura but maybe I can find someone who can make me a simpler costume here of another anime character.

So like.....I started working on a new project. It's a small manga (by small I mean that it will not be as detailed as my other project) about well.......complete ramdomness (what I'm best known for)with wacky characters and odd plots and scenarios. It basically is like what goes on in my head (My main character Lukia thinks just like me) and other stuff I feel like throwing in. Hopefully I want take long on this as on my other manga which I'm still editing (I like to think of it as the edit from hell) but I will do my best. I have everything I need :pencil, notebook, coffee, sanity (sort of).

Ello' everyone! I feel so perky cause I just finished this funny pic. It's going to be my Gaia siggy! I'm trying to bypass the fact that my mouth hurts sooo much from my braces. I'm also excited that I'm getting contact lenses on tuesday the 14th. I already had them fitted but I had trouble taking them off. I'm getting sick of wearing glasses because they always get in the way of stuff and u can't feel contact lenses when they are in your eyes. Anyways enjoy my pic and plz comment!

Hi! I'm Mirei-Chan (or M-chan). I love designing outfits and shopping for clothes to mix togehter. I love Anime and Manga. I like to cosplay and read alot of shojo manga. What makes me as perky as I am is coffee! I run on about 3 cups of coffee a day. My doctor says that it's not healthy but screw him cause I saw him smoking in the parking lot (damn hypocrite). I'm very energetic and weird but don't piss me off or I'll hurt u (and if your lucky I won't kick u while wearing highheels). I like wearing cute matching outfits (I am my own canvas when it comes to my fashion designs). I feel very powerful while I wear highheel shoes (an embarrising thing to say but don't knock it 'till u tried it!). Anyway......enjoy reading my journal.
